The school-intelligence platform behind Celebrates
WhatSchool is a global school-intelligence platform. WhatSchool Celebrates is part of it - using that global picture to recognise what schools are genuinely great at.
One of the largest pictures of schools anywhere
Together these add up to one of the largest pictures of schools anywhere - the foundation everything else we do is built on. It is what lets us understand schools in context, recognise their strengths fairly, and learn across borders.
Jason Elsom
Jason Elsom founded WhatSchool. Before WhatSchool he was Chief Executive of Parentkind, Chief Executive of Speakers for Schools - where he built its national work-experience programme - and Chief Operating Officer of Founders4Schools. In 2015 and 2016 he ran global classroom exchanges that connected around 250,000 children across 63 countries. He is based in the UK.
Connecting children across the world
Earthrise:Live is WhatSchool’s flagship global classroom exchange - connecting children across the world to learn from one another and help bridge divides. It is the same belief that drives Celebrates: that schools, wherever they are, do remarkable work worth seeing and sharing.
An intelligence that truly understands schools
We are using this global corpus to train AI that genuinely understands schools - what they do, the context they work in, and what makes each one special. WhatSchool Celebrates’ advanced, beyond-free-school-meals context model is one example of that work in practice.
