What do “schools similar to ours” and “schools just like ours” mean?
Both read your results against schools facing similar circumstances - using an advanced measure of the community a school serves (size, disadvantage, SEND and EAL), not just free school meals. They work two ways. “Similar to ours” groups every school into a similar-context band and compares within it - a broad, fair comparison. “Just like ours” is more precise: it finds the specific handful of schools most like yours - your closest matches on those measures, anywhere in England - and ranks you among them.
